What do you thiank is the ideal age gap between teh first and teh second child. My daughter is three years now. So would like to know what is the general opinion on this. nidhi replied. this is a very tricky question. different things work for diff people. i have two kids and we have purposefully kept a gap of two years. i personally had a gap of two years with my brother and we had a great time together. i feel the more the gap is the more difficult it is for the elder one to understand. by the time he actually understands what is happening he becomes attached to the younger one. ofcourse first year is very tough coz u have to give attention to both, but once that is over you will see the difference yourself........the way they play together, they can relate to each other. i can see that myself. my elder one is 4 and the younger one is 2. they love playing together. they dont need anyone else to ply with. haneet replied. hi!!pratibha...the age gap betwn 2 kids depends on ur circumstances...everyone thinks in their own way..see u need 2 consider many things before planning other:
1) is ur 1st child ready 2 adapt 2 second??
2)is he self dependent?(' coz in 1st mths ur going 2 b busy with 2nd)
3)r u financially ready for second??

wat i personally feel that by the time ur 1st child is 5-6 yrs...he/she becomes more understanding and even help u in bringing up second..but its 4 u 2 decide ' coz many feel that even 3 yrs gap is sufficient....
