Modern India is a good example of cultural and religious diversity. In spite of this unique cultural diversity, the whole country is bound as a civilization due to its common history, thereby preserving the national identity. For the past few years I' ve come across different people with different customs and methods of whom the shaivaite cult were more.I' ve pretty lot of questions about how people in shaivism pray the almighty.I being a hindu pray both shiva and vishnu. But is it true that shaivaites consider only worshipping shiva but not vishnu coz' I got to know from them ,not from my or anybody else' s knowledge, that they do not celebrate festivals like Sri Ramnavami,Janmashtami and other vishnu festivals. If it is so what is the mythical reason for this.I just wanted to know about them but I genuinely have no intention hurting anybody' s spiritual feelings or their way of living.
