Dear Madam,
I am married 25 years old women. we are trying to concieve. I took one tab Letoval daily from the 2nd day for 5 days. My doctor told me to have follicle study this month from 12th day.Its measurement in left ovary on 13th day was 10mm. 15th day was 13mm. but on 17th & 19 day it remained 13mm only. my right ovary is MSF. Next month our doc suggested to take Tab Stimufol 5 mg at night and NACFIL twice a day from the 2nd day for 5 days. Is there any major problem about the follicular study? How much time it will take to get pregnant?

which treatment u r taking ICSI/IVF sweetybangalore replied. I went through 5 months of follicular study. My Dr use to prescribe me Letrozal from D2-D6 monitor the follicle growth from D10-D17. I have got PCOS. She had said once the follicle size is approx 20mm, the egg is ready. They used to give me an injection HUCOG 5000 mg after 200 mm to release the egg and suggest 3 days of intercourse. I was taking duphastone from D16 to 25 to regularize periods also (usually starts around 5-6 days of stopping duphastone ie around the 30th day). This didnt work for me though I have heard that success rate is 50% with follicular study. This is usually the 1st method that doctors try with infertility issues and in PCOS. Wish you all the best. Suggest you try it for a few cycles. But make sure that your doctor has done all req tests initially. My Dr had told me to take metformin. When I went to another doc, she told me that metformin is given only when high sugar levels are the cause of PCOS. That test was not done for me before my 1st doctor prescribed metformin.
