I suffer from endometriosis. I had a laparoscopy done on 20th January 2010 to remove the cyst and was given Lupron Depot injection 3.75mg on 21st January 2010. Now my gynaecologist wants to start stimulating me for IVF from 5th February 2010. I wanted to know if its ok to start IVF now or after taking the injection it is necessary to wait for sometime and complete the course before trying for IVF.

It would depend on the extent of endometriosis. For minimal findings one dose may be sufficient. For more extensive lesions three doses are recommended.

Dear RJK,
IVF after endometriosis is good but it is not necessary that the doctor who did good endometriosis is a good ivf specialist, after a lot i found Dr.sanjay PAtel of Mayflower Women' s Hospital in ahmedabad who did good endometriosis surgery for me and later on Dr.Jaya PAtel did ivf for me and i got pregnancy and i m in the sixth month of my pregnancy.
