I am nidhi , mother of a 8 months old baby boy , i have one query to ask regarding Phd , im a Msc business IT graduate , and now planning to do Phd in sociology , the problem is i know nothing abt sociology and im really interested in doing Phd based on this ... I want to know wat are the job availabilities once i finish Phd in socio and wat are the hot topics that are popular in sociology ... , Pls advice Preeti replied. For doing a PhD in any subject, you need to cover certain basic requirements in that subject...First find out from the college (where you want to study Sociology) about what those requirements/qualifications are...PhD is not a general overview of a subject..it is done after you have mastered the subject and you are interested in doing further new research in a SPECIFIC area of that subject.

You can also find out from the internet what all Sociology covers and if it is something that you would be interested in at all... velu replied. when you dont know a word about sociology then why the hell do you want to do it.first learn about the subject then jump into it othewise you will look like a fool.look well after your child he needs you more.once he grows up then think of doing something otherwise you will turn to be foolish
