Vedangi also passes green stools most of the time nowadays(7 weeks). Also she grunts and strains every time she has a bowel movement. When I asked my Doc abt it she said that \";Green is ok. Green does not bother me. Also some kids don't like the pressure of the BM so they strain but that is ok too\";.
So I have stopped worrying abt it. As long as the baby is is fine and shown no other symptoms, weight gain is fine I guess we need not worry.

Take care
-M

Hi! Anu!
My son (7.5 weeks) had the same problem from last 3 days(it is still green). I called the doc. They said, if the color of the stool is dark green, it may be because of the stomach infection. So, call ur DOC. For breastfed babies, normally stool color should be yellow. So, call ur DOc and I don't think this(green color) is normal.

Hi Anu,
If the color of stool is green everytime then you should immediately call the doc as it is not good. My son Tavish has the same problem...Now after long time he is having yellow green stools but the doc said it will be like this throughout the breast feeding. It will be good to check defi with your Doc.

Hi Anu,

This is what I've read:

The occasional green stool in a breastfed or bottle fed baby is nothing to worry about. If your baby has persistent green stools, or foamy stools, or stools containing mucus, talk to your Doctor/health visitor.

------------------------------

I am sure it's nothing to worry about.

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.

Thanks in advance
