Can anybody tell me about taking GNC Fenugreek capsules 500mg for increasing milk supply. I have a 2 month old girl and she is not latching and before i used to pump and give her milk and now it only comes 1-2oz a day. I have to give you my personal experience with nursing my daughter. I had a problem with supply early on since she was premature, my body wasn't responding immediately.

I went to GNC and purchased the Fenugreek capsules and I started off taking two in the morning. Immediately, I noticed positive effects. I had an increased supply of milk and there are no side effects that I had experienced while using them. Only thing I did notice is that when I sniffed the milk, it smelled a bit like licorice or whatever that fenugreek smells like. It's a pleasant odor, I should say.

I would start off taking one capsule and take more as needed until you get the results you feel comfortable with.

I also live in the U.S.--if it weren't for the Fenugreek, I would have been devastated.

But u can also swallow a teaspoon of soaked feenugreek seeds 3 to 4 times a day with water. above all try changing your position when ur babygirl is trying to feed or latch on. My doctor prescribed me a medicine Lactare.It is ayurvedic,two tablets to be taken morning,noon and night.

in response to ur ? reg increasing milk supply:i hv hrd that these capsules help but i suggest u spk to ur ped.1st.also i wud like to know the kind of pump u r using.is it manual or double electric.whats the model name?
some suggestions to keep up the milk supply ...drink lots n lots of water,it helps.do u hv let downs while pumping?

i hv got to know that sometimes fenugreek doesnt agree with some babies in the sense that it produces gas.
anyways...it does help in boosting supply.also how many times do u pump in a day?what is the intake of ur baby?is she gaining enuf wt etc.
