hope nikhil and niya are doing great , i read the msgs after a long time , read about the eye teat ducts my son too had it and just keep wiping off with clean boiled water , and also about the Rash as u mentioned its hormonal thing from us and he is alright now , i think it goes off by itself as weeks go by . Infact he is also having something like cradle crap , now getting better .

Thanks for the wishes and wish you 2 and your families a wonderful newyear .Pranav is doing good , avi you are right about baby smile , it so cute to watch them like that and i also have baby bjorn sling and pranav likes it .
Vindhya for cradle crap best solution seems to be head bath atleast 2 times a week i use J & J shampoo . also onetime besanflour .
I massage pranav almost everyday with olive oil , 2 good things happening are he sleeps well and his rashes are getting better . the ointment for his rashes Doc here gaveme was Windolmilch its only a natural extract .

Pranav wants us to talk to him so he can smile , when no one is with him he makes loud sounds and looks uneasy .

I already startted worrying about getting back to work i have another 4 more weeks .

Hey Vindhya, its been a while since we've conversed :).. Niya must have her mom running around...
I've had a guests at home so I haven't been around much....

Nikhil is doing fine... His rash hasn't gone down.... my doc didn't suggest anything..so I am hoping it will go away by itself.... other than that.. he sleeps a lot and smiles a lot while doing so.... :)

Vindhya, let me know if the ointment works...

Wish you a very Happy New Year... and I hope to be in touch with you guys more often starting next year.... :)

smiles that melt our hearts

Aren't those smiles just adorable... although people say that babies this young dont recognize us, I would like to think otherwise.. :)

Vindhya, some of my friends who had to take care of the baby by themselves suggested using a sling (snugli or baby bjorn kind) .... you /husband can do your household chores while carrying and playing with the baby...

I tried it with Nikhil but he didn't seem to like it....will keep trying...it will be of great help when mom leaves....

I hope Niya's rash goes away soon too.... and hope she is gaining weight steadily now....

you, hubby and baby Niya party hard tomorrow night. :)

Baby smile

Hope your guests are not bothering you too much:)

Good to hear about baby Nikhil's smile. Isn't that amazing. Niya smiles while she is awake sometimes, we wonder if she is able to recognize us which is doubtful at this age.

Niya does keep me very busy. My husband doesn't know how to console her when she is crying, so I end up carrying or putting her on my lap all the time.

You and your family have a great 2004. Wishing baby Nikhil a Happy First Year.

Hi Preethu,

I am glad that baby Pranav is doing better. Even my baby has mild cradle crap. What are you doing about it. She had a doctor's appointment today, but I forgot to mention about it. I am going to give her a full bath from tomorrow, does shampooing help? Which shampoo are you using, I am planning to use J&J.

Regarding eye duct problem, it does go away but comes back every two days. I'll continue massaging.

Niya has rash(acne like) all over her face from past several days, doctor has suggested an ointment(Cortaid) for it. Hope it works.

Baby oil

Hi Avi,

Yes, I've heard about applying baby oil, but not sure about olive oil. Priya did mention about it. It might have worked.

Niya's doctor said not to apply anything but the ointment. So, will use Cortaid for now. I will surely let you know if it works. I am sure you are scared too, to apply any kind of cream. Hope baby Nikhil's rashes go away soon.
