Hi Preetu,

I am noticing the same change. My son who is also 8 weeks old is sleeping more than he used to. Now he sleeps for 5-6 hours stretches at night. I checked with the doc and also my child health nurse and they said 'you couldn't be luckier'.. Also he has started sleeping more during the day. I maintain a log of his feeds, nappy changes and sleep timings. If you do that you will realise that while what may seem like excessive sleeping is only 2-3 hours more than average days. But yes I still get very concerned like you. I have to meet my nurse for a 2 monthly check up on Jan 7th . Will update you after that. Take Care

Hi Preethu,

I believe until 3 months, sleeping for 20 hours is pretty normal. To wake him up, try changing his diaper or undress him or keep tickling his feet until he wakes up. May be others would have more suggestions.

Niya is awake most of the time, but goes to sleep the minute I start feeding her. Feeding her for 20 mins has become a real challenge for me, never have I been able to complete even 15 straight minutes.

Sometimes, I do wish that she sleeps more (while not feeding), so I could get some rest.

Since baby Pranav is otherwise healthy, I wouldn't worry about his sleeping pattern. Make sure you talk to your doctor too.

Diaper Service Provider,Bangalore
Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.

Thanks in advance
