Please help me with some suggessions . My daughter is 3months old . Since birth , we are observing her right eye ( two edges ) is little red and water keeps coming out . this is happening to only eye . I have consulted my pediatricion says this is common for some babies. Everyday morning I can see my baby finding it hard to open the right eye b'cos of water and white discharge .
Please let me know , If anyone else have faced this kind of problem . Do I need to consult an eye specialist ?

Don't worry. My son had the same problem. We did some massage. Start from the corner of the eye close to the nose, press and move to the bottom of the nose. Repeat this 3 times a day and 2/3 times each time.

Hi Aravinda,
Same age my son got the same problem.When i consulted the pediatrician she gave some eye drops and said it is because of the some duct not opened...But i went to opthomologist he said if it is not treated properly we may have to do surgery later which can be avoided..the discharge because of some infection in the eye .He gave some drops and ointment..and within 15-20days it showed results..so pls take ur daughter to good opthomologist...So don't worry

My daughter is 11 months old.She is also having
the watery eye since birth. Doctor says that this
is due to blocked tear duct. it will go away with time.
The problem comes off and on. We are giving here
homeopathic medicine, as we r not
interested in surgery.
hopefully it gets cured soon.

Hi,

My daughter has blocked tear duct in one eye, we noticed it when she was four month s and were very worried like you, but it disappeared on it own when she was 7 months old.

On the other eye she acquired blocked tear duct when she was 14 months old, we had to do the small surgery and she is perfectly ok now. She is now 20 months old.

So nothing to worry.

My Daughter is going to complete 3 months and she has the same problem
They said it is Blocked tear Ductandwill Subside by 6months or so,or else the Eye Docter will do a small surgery and poen the Duct,we keep asking her eveytime we meet her but she tells the samething.
She gets yellowdicharge from her right eye and this eye is morewatery and this becomes reddish near the cornerof the Eye,Once in awhile we put eye dropsbut i think this has to subside on its own.
I feel bad but nothing can be Done.we keep wipingitwhenever the yellow thingappears.Somedays it is more ,some days less.
