Nurseries and Schools:The first day School

Name: Lakshmanan

I was preparing my 2 years 11 months old, for a week before to school. The balance fees day, 2 days before school, shown the play area, games exciting my daughter. The day arrived. Few senior kids were in play some on cycle, some on the sand. Some new joiners are already weeping, some crying and some shouting. I tried to equip my kid with others playing along with them. \" Parents can leave\" a voice at my back, the nursery principal. A miss taken my daughter, They have not given time to console her. My little one eye with tear two hands stretching towards me, myself standing helpless.

Why this awkwardness?
Why such a great pain to delicate hearts!
Do it cause stress to them?
Do all schools believe that it is normal one, a child crying on the first day?

A school should allow the parents for few weeks to be with the kid and the seperation should not be immediate. The transition of a kid from home environment to school zone should happen step by step and the parents should take it as a very sensitive matters, not saying that i, you and we are all came through that path.

Your opinions please.

If we think from a child' s perspective a stranger is taking place of a mother or a trusted caregiver. A child is scared of strangers. If we try to remember our worst fears and try to spend few hours with that fear what will be our condition. The same is with our children.
Most of the Playschools/Nurseries in India are not at all flexible in this regard and give least attention to the most important part of preschooling. They should understand that the harm that they are doing is worse than it seem to be. It is not only that moment but also it will be stored in the child' s memory for the rest of his life.
The amount of insecurity a child will face will put a lot of stress on the little one and it might have some after effects later on in the life. A child for parents is the most precious thing. If a school / Nursery is not flexible in this regard they shouldn' t be allowed to open the schools as they do' t understand the basics of child psychology.
Parents should be very particular about it and if they realize it later on please pull your child out ASAP as even one day in that environment will hurt the delicate brain of your child even if it costs you money because your child is worth it.

Hi,
Seems a very normal case when a child first time gets away from his/her parents, my 3 yrs daughter is going to a play school from last an year, she never cried in the school for even a single day, this is a join effort from parents as well as from school.

We prepared our daughter by encouraging her for having new friends, learning new games etc. School was always a fun place for me and so the same I tried with my kid, we told her, stories about how I got into job after having all so long years for studies... and that made her go to school everyday so she one day can go to office my her parents and can buy gifts like we does for her...

Try with your kid with some good things they might be doing at school like drawing, colouring, dancing etc... but most important... please please don' t just go with the name of the school... see how much that school will suit to your little one... not always a famous school can be the best.

RE:What Toddlers Should Be Learning?
Toddlers are at a crucial stage of learning, where foundational skills for life are being developed. At Skillmatics, we believe toddlers should be learning cognitive abilities like problem-solving, memory building, and recognition of shapes, colors, and patterns. Language development, motor skills, and social-emotional growth are equally important during these years.
