Veena I' m in my 16th week too and I have started experiencing some giddiness as well early during the mornings and sometimes in the evenings. I think it should be normal, I have observed it happens when ur stomach is empty for a long time. So keep eating something all the time.

And yes do not take risk by sitting on the back seats in the bus. They can be so jerky at times. U also experience sharp pains during sudden jerks so I think as Riya said its better to ask someone to exchange seats. Do take care about it dear. Do not take any risks.

take care

Hi Madhu,

You are probably right, empty stomach makes you giddy at times....when at work I go long hours without muching on something...work gets me so tied up, its only during the weekends that i eat well....I just carry a packet of Glucose to office and sometimes forget to even have dat.....so the gidiness I guess.....will definately have to see that i keep munching someting or the other.....

hi veena..

if you haven' t experienced any spotting or bleeding in early pregnancy or recently then you should be fine to travel by bus.. but avoid sitting at the back coz that' s where maximum jolts are felt and it' s not very safe for you and the baby.. especially since you mentioned that you do experience some discomfort.. request someone sitting in front.. preferably a lady to exchange seats with you.. women are sympathetic to each other when they know the other is pregnant and go out of the way to help.. so try your luck.. if i were someone seated in the front seat i would definitely offer my seat to pa pregnant woman if she asked me to and told me that she is pregnant..

also ask your doctor if travelling by bus is ok.. we all can offer tips and suggestions on this forum but no one knows a person' s condition better than her doctor..

good luck
