My 19 month old daughter sticks her tongue out when she is concentrating. She has been doing this since she was a baby and she used to do this when she is hungry and sleepy and these days she is doing it when she is concentrating. What do I do to stop it. I tell her repeatedly put your tongue in, she puts it in and it sticks back out in few minutes, when she is busy this doesnot happen, when she is concentrating or trying to sleep she is doing this. I think as indian parents we tend to get agitated over the smallest of things. My ped would always ask me, its a problem if you think its interfering with her normal growth.

I suppose it should be some kind of pacifier effetc. Does she use a feeding bottle. Might be after effects. or a pacifier. As soon as she starts understanding she should be able to not do it. TRy talking to her then making her use her tongue.
