I'm on my 26th week of preganancy and i had a breast leak yesteray. Is that normal? i've heard that breast leak is normal usually in third trimester (after 28th week)

Your response and advice will be appreciated.

Hi,
Leaking of colustrum in the 26th wk is absolutely normal infact a good sign.
It shows that your breast are preparing for the breast feeding. I experienced the same during fifth month during my first pregnany so numbers does not mean anything . Be tension free

the numbers are normally meant for guidelines and not for absolute use.
26th week completion is where you will enter in 3rd trimester, that's the day you also complete 6 months gestation by calender.
breasts leaking (colostrum production) is fair anytime from 25th week but again some one can respond early or late while some will not respond at all and that's all normal. Yet not a measurement of how good milk supply after childbirth will be.

I have never read or heard this type of correlation. But there is an observation suggesting that many multiparous mothers could deliver baby a few days earlier than primiparous and that labor too is not as long.
Of course there are a few other factors such as inappropriate fetal presentation or posterior baby that could be a long labor even in multiparous.

Leaking only tells body is working but not leaking does not mean body is not working on breast development. Neither it indicates quality of milk supply after childbirth nor estimate possibilities of labor with ref. to time and also length.
