Due Date Club October 2001:Getting impatient
2001-09-28
Name: Sakhi

Hi All,

Padmaja, I can really understand your mood. At least you are close to your due date and then feeling impatient, but for me, I started feeling impatient last week itself. Good that I am working otherwise I don't know what I would have done in this waiting period.

Girls I completed 37 weeks and now the baby is fully matured. Y'day I had my weekly checkup and everything is all right no sign of labor yet. Swelling has reduced a bit but not completely gone. I am feeling myself very heavy. Even getting up from a chair after a long time is trouble.

How are you all doing? Padmaja, all the best to you. I am sure, there will be good news in this weekend. Nivea, hows your weight gain now? I gained 1 kg in last week :o Now, I am not concerned about anything, I just want this to get over as soon as possible. Movements have been reduced little bit but then I can feel baby trying very hard to move but no room for her / him.

Jyotsna, keep posting. Hows your weekly appointments and your cold? Did you take medicine? Mekha, keep in touch, when is your due date?

All the best girls.
Sakhi

Hi Jyotsna, Sakhi, mekha & padmaja,

How are all of u doing..,.Jyotsna glad to hear that you've managed your cold/cough ,well without any medications. And tell yu what...I'm also in the same boat as you.. I havent gained any weight either..in fact I lost 200 gms at my last check up !Phew !!! And u also take care when u squat alright. Actually I'm even scared to sit down and stand back again ( for fear of the amniotic sac breaking !! )

Sakhi,,,I know how impatient u must be...AS the D day approaches..we all reach the end of our patience, isnt it.But ..take it easy ...the wait is worth it all !!And while u can..take as much as rest as possible..I know its difficult to even lie down these days...but just relax as much as u can.
As jyotsna, said,,,nights are the worst. Sleep simply evades me and the bathroom has become my second home girls !!!

Padmaja, u must be on tenterhooks ...waiting for something to happen , isnt it ...But relax dear...everything will be fine...and remmeber ...everything happens at its own time !!

mekha..how are u doing otherwise..
All of u take care and our best wishes to padmaja ...

Love
nivea

hi sakhi and all,
My cold is due to the rotten weather here as its has become opressively hot all of a sudden.I used inhalation/gargle and have managed but feel rundown.
I went for my gynaec visit yday.I havent gained any weight in 2 weeks--which means a total gain of 7 kilos(17 pounds i guess) and to top it all my doc is happy..She says i am fit and toned and gained weight only in the tummy and chest.Well,i was hoping she would say gain more/eat more--Laugh!!
The baby's head is down but not engaged. She has categorically told me not to raise my hopes about an early birth and to wait till end-Oct.I am 36 weeks complete now.My intuition tells me it could happen earlier and i feel its a girl.
My gynaec will start doing her internal exam of me only in the 37th week to check the effacing/dilation.
Otherwise the baby is doing fine.
Sakhi--impatience is so normal and it can realy really get to you.I am also very irritated/impatient/short of tolerance these days..and i make it a point to just get out of home albeit for a short while.
My bathrooom trips have increased tremendously and i find it very painful.Sqautting which used to be easy earlier, now makes me feel that the babe will pop out.OHH if only!!!.
Im waiting for my mom to come around 2nd week...maybe then ill gain some weight.
Nivea, how r u doing with the much needed rest.Hows your daughter doing? She must be all exc ited.
Mekha--saw u online but ebfore i could send a msg,i got DC.
Padmaja--ok ok i wont ask you but rest assured u will be blessed soon---good vibes coming your way.Take care all of you girls and stay connected
