Yesterday I got ear piercing done for Nikku at her peds office. It was not as horrifying as I thought it to be. It was pretty much as Sheetal told. They used shot gun, one ear at a time. We selected one earring out of the many they had, and they charged us arnd 50 $ for that. The tough part was to get the dots marked on the ears before piercing. Nikku wouldnt keep still, and when we forced her she started crying. She is anyways bit anxiuos arnd strangers, and she was not comfortable with the doctor. So we asked doctor to let us make the mark (with a pen). Then me and my husband took arnd 15 mins to calm her and then make marks. Once it was done, the doctor came, and in less than a minute pierced the earrings in her ears. I couldnt stand to see it, so I moved out. But my hubby later told that Nikku was shivering little when they actually pierced. She cried little.. just as she does when getting her vaccinations.. thats it.. It was not at all as I imagined... Only tough part was to keep her still and get the dots marked. I guess, I could have as well marked dots on her ears when she was sleeping.. that would have been really easy.. The site of piercing was red for couple of hours, then it became normal (touch wood). Now I have to clean it with alcohol and turn it little daily. After a month, he said, I can change it..

So Sheeja, are you planning for this weekend.. all the best for it, I am sure Trisha will look very pretty after getting it done. Nikku is looking very girlish now..:) Since it was her well baby visit also, dr did her haemoglobin test. All went fine. Now she is 32\"; tall (touch wood).

Sheetal... one ques dear.. do I need to be very careful while giving her bath now? Also do share your exp of changing earrings of Anushka with us.

Don't our girls look cute with those studs in the ears!!! I haven't changed her earrings so far. Want to do it before her b'day. Will let u know how it went.
