Hetal replied. i use it with these combinations :
1.cracked wheat & moong dal (1 :1),add some vegies, turmeric, salt,i introduced nirja cumin-corainder pwder, tomatoe,,some cashews-onions, garlic, chillies,if its for us),and let it whistle for 3 whistles,,and at the fourth, off the flame..
its highly nutitious and very good to give. i give it with fresh curd to nirja.
2.also i use it as a sweet..roast it in ghee, nicely until it spitters or smells, add sugar(if you give, i put sweet potato here), some cardamom .. she loves this..i give this when we go out, so that i dont have to take lot of snacks with me..its a good filler.add milk if baby needs a thin paste.
Sheeja replied. what i use to do this, fry cracked wheat and pressure cook for 3-4 whistle. then season oil with muistrad, urad dal, curry leaves. fry onion, 1/2 tomato, ginger garlic-1sp paste, then all the veggies that u like. add water and boil the veggies nicely, then put boiled wheat+ chilly powder, karam masala +salt, corriander leafs.
for Trisha, i use to take lil before adding chilly powder.
she likes it soo much.
u can try it.

After frying the urad dal(its 1/2 sp,thats it), u r gonna add water while boiling veggies+ when u add boiled cracked wheatagain u r gonna boil for sometimes till raw smell of masala goes off. soo by the time urad dal will boil very nicely.no doubt.
if u r still worrired, skip urad dal.

seema, for sweet ones, there are fine cracked wheat available..they cook well with a good nonstick pan and good ghee. or else if u arent sure about how it will go,you can try roasting them in cooker, with ghee, add cardamom and let it cook, after it cooks, open cooker, add sugar and milk..
we call this fada lapsi in gujarat,,i liked the cooker version :) and the one i told about moongdal and cracket wheat, we call it THULI in gujarat.
sheeja, will give it try.m married to kannadiga, we too use urad dal in tadka or fried onees/ :) thanks.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
