iposted a message , a week before but did not get any reply... im really worrried ,,, please somebody tell me what to do as aside from my husband no body thinks that there is some prob with my daughter n my hubby is away for few months. i have a daughter who is 17 months old... has a mild form of tev so cannot walk ( prob 1) ,,,, she does not speak aside frm few words ,,, mama , baba (prob 2) but the worst part is she does not understand anything. she does not know even simple words like about ball , doll, milk etc,,, so u c she cant express herself ,, neither she can understand,,, n when i try to teach her something she does not copy it,,,, im really worried. she plays with her toys like a 5/6 month kid plays,,,,she would throw away toys etc etc,,,,please somebody help me. i always pray to God that do not bless me with any ther child but keep her normal but i still dont know what to do,, every body tells me wait n see n im sick of that.
i dont feel any difference coz of her. i mean few months back i used to carry a baby in my hand n still i do the same with no improvement.
a really worried mom sulekha replied. You have a right concern. I would advise you to check with a well known child specialist. I have seen one child who has developmental delays. But if you are willing to spend some time with your child, you can improve the situation. There are lot of resources on working with children. I am sure you can find some on internet and libraries. Don't give up. Some time god has a purpose in everyone of us and here is your call to make a difference. Divya replied. I can understand your feeling..Its hard as a parent..we all can only console you..but you as a parent will have to be brave and take it as it comes! WHERE THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY!

Firstly, take her to pediatrician and do a well baby check up for 17 month old. Since she is talking mam, baba she should be okay. Some babies do not follow the command of their parents..mine does not..they want to do everything on their own..let them explore ..let them grow on their own..but for precaution please do show her to a good doctor very soon.

I think u should not get panic be cool and first take her to doctor,then first see how she is responding to ur commands ,every child will grow in different way so be patient and help ur child and support her to learn small thinks ,but never let her down.

let me first of all tell u that please make your mind cool and think of the things u can do to help ur child.my opinion is that u should take ur baby to a paediatrician first and get done the check ups.if ur child is having tev u need to go to a orthopaedic doc or paediatric orthopaedic doc who is an expert in correcting tev.tev can get corrected .if u can do it atlest now it will be more effective.dont worry god will make everything right for u. piyali replied. Please don't panic.Go to your peditrition first .Discuss with him.If you are not satisfied with his answer then ask him to refer a specialist.If there is any problem it should be detected early. It is very necessary to get treatment and therapy at very early stage.I hope that there is no such problem.But if teher is any problem early therapy will help your baby to do better in future. Be brave for your baby.Good luck.
Piyali Tanya's mom replied. Hi, Please take your baby to a doc immediatly, we have routine checkups for a baby's milestones here and I know that results might be worrying but you have to face it, have faith and trust in God you will recieve all the courage that you need.
vinoth replied. Please take your baby to some psychortist and check. Iam living in singapore and i have a 9 months old son. Here they have normal checkup for eyes, ears , response and understanding. Don't worry. Life is a mix , sometimes we have rise and sometimes down. Now your may be feeling that you have been let down by god. Definetly not... just keep praying and take care of your child.
