Hello,
we have been trying for around 10 cycles now. Had a semen analysis done for my husband which showed he had a good count and motilty. My blood test revealed that I have a high prolactin level of 42.5- normal is 20 i think. I am on Parlodel since 2 weeks. The gyn also did an ultra sound scan in the mid cycle and thankfully, I am ovulating! Since ovulation, I amd also taking duphaston 10mg, a progesterone supplement.

Has anyone had high prolactin levels? just eager to know my chances of conceiving now. Good luck to everyone.

My prolactin is 43. I'm curious how much parlodel/bromocriptine you're taking. Did it work?

Have ur doctor checked thyroid levels.. Sometimes high TSH(Thyroid stumilation levels) can also cause prolactine levels to rise.. High TSH is bcoz of defficiency of thyroid hormone.. SO try to get ur thyroid levels checked as soon as possible.. I am telling u this bcoz of my persional experience on that. When I went to Dr,they just prescribed me parlodel seeing my prolactine level high.. Then I also didnt know anything about it.. Then after 6 months I changed my doctor.. There they checked every hormone.. SO found out about hypothyroid. Now I am not taking that parlodel..It automatically corrcted bcoz I am taking medicine for hypothyroid.. So being hypothyroid makes very difficult to get pregnent.. So untearted can causes birth defect if one get pregnent without being treated.. Still I am trying for baby without luck..I wish u all the best..Baby dust to u..
