I am looking for a good creche for my 6 month old baby. If possible Please provide their contact details.

A good maid is better than any creche.In a creche there are lot of tensions also,if one child is suffering from some disease ,then ur child can also be effected from taht disease.U can not look after what ur child eats in a day,how they care ur child.My baby girl is now 1 yr old,from the very beginging ,i took a maid(i.e very good maid),she takes a lots of care of my child,she helps me a lot in household activities also.I don' t have to bother abt my girl,as the girl is also very with her.Now i am planning to put her in some play school,so that she can spend 3-4 hours in different environment,after taht my maid will be taking care of her.I think this is the best option. radhika replied. A maid' s education and emotional levels will not be upto handling a child' s wholesome needs such as hygiene, language, social skills and emotional development. Ofcourse if you have a family support then this is possible. But be aware what family support really means. If its only physical presence to supervise the maid then its not enough
A child needs a lot of care and stimulations for its healthy development. That a trained, professional care give can give.
The only thing to note is that the creche you send should not be manned by maids or ayahs but trained care-givers. Otherwise its as good as having the child with the maid at home. Saheli replied. I am not aware of creches in gurgaon that can take care of such a small baby, but I want to share my thoughts on creche/maid as I hv been through it.

Well, important factor to decide which one is better between these two is not just comparison between these two. Each one has advantages and disadv. The more imp factor according to me is - how the Parents are. I think we should be evaluating ourselves first, and then noting all our requirments, so as to decide.

I am assuming you know goods and bads about both maid and creches.
Check out what suits you. Which ' goods' suit your requirement and choices better, and which ' bads' you can handle or accept or manage?

That is, if you need personalized attention to baby, your office timings are erratic, you can go on weekends and have late nights, you have guests often, you dont mind uneducated maid handling your baby, you can get the maid to stay clean and healthy as u want, you prefer training the maid than the creche hassle, or you have inlaws with you so they can supervise the maid .. etc etc ... then maid is your choice.

But if you think you cant handle the maids, or cant do frequent checks on her if she eats baby food, steals things etc (oh they have the habbit of falling in love with koodawala or milkman u know), if you cannot give surprise visits, you dont want the tension of maid' s attitude and tantrums, you wnat proffessional and educated ppl to take care of child, you want clean environments unlike dirty maid, you dont want the risk of a bad maid, your office timings are fixed, if there is a need you have help for baby sitting (say creche is closed, you cannot take off, then hubby will manage), your baby will get company of poeple like us, can learn things from trained people when grows up, then creche is your choice. With maids, there is higher risk these days - they fall easy prey to men luring for cash/jewelry in our houses. No matter how much secruity systems we have, if the maid opens the door, u r done.
Even if the maid is good, she can fall in love and u need to keep spying her, ask neighbors, check her belongings, etc.

Take a call depending on which things you prefer to control and which you cannot. we want the best for our baby, so depending on our weaknesses and strenghts,we should decide.

My MIL stays with us so a maid has suited me always as she can supervises. Fortunately, I have always got maids who took great care of my babies (i hv 1 kid and 1 baby). And unfortunately, all of them have fallen in love with another male servant/kooda-wala/such (despite of my MILs kadi nazar!). Though MIL doesnt allow maids to open door or answer phone. When MIL is out of town, I can partly work from home, my hubby can partly work from home, I can make visits to home as offices is near (I have always maintained that for kids). So thats my example.

My friend has 2 sons and she keeps them in some creche in phase II since when they were babies. Kids now grown up, one is 9 and other is 5, creche picks them from school and drops home after calling up my friend (to make sure she is home). They also hv 24 hr facility. Please dont ask its address, she has moved out and i dont hv her number! She has had bad experiences with maids, she says she doesnt have time and mind to manage maids so prefers creche.
