Labour is not as bad as it sounds. Ok it is painful but if it was that excrutiating then women all over the world would stop getting pregnant. Epidural is suggested for a lengthy labour so that you are not exhausted when it's time to push. I suggest you keep your options open...experience labour and see how it feels and if you can't take it then go for epidural. But really csection should be your last option.

I am surprised your gyno in India gave you a csection the first time just because you asked him too. Normally, they only give you are csec for complications and breach babies. At least here in North America I am talking about.

Anyway, I have 3 kids all normal deliveres and I have a very low threshold for pain yet I was ok. The minute your baby is born everything vanishes. That is how god intended it to be!

Thanx maria and console for ur advice, but the obgyn i have seen now is a male and he is for csection only and says my height of 4' 11" as one of the reasons not to try vbac. But the type of incision i had with my first csec does not hinder with my trying for vbac, i do not know why doc does not want to try it. should i go in with him or try another doc who supports vbac. please advice as far as ur knowledge.

Can I skip Santoshi mata fast for once this Friday? As its impossible in every condition to keep the fast as i am going to a remote place where such things can't be maintained? I've done more than 16 fasts with my pure heart. Will God forgive me if I skip this fast? Please reply fast. Its very urgent.... - Avika [View Message]
