Hi All,

We have got the great news. I had beautiful baby girl on the 16th morning. It was a very short and good labour. Vindhya, don't worry it's easy and I am sure you will enjoy it too:))
Here's my story...14th night I had some bleeding but didn't take it too seriously since my doc had examined me the same day and informed me that I had to be induced by end of this week, also I had bleeding before also. Waited until Sat 11/15 to call the doc and since she was out of town she advised me to go get checked at the hospital and she would send on call doc there for me. So, me being so lazy we did all the work at home, had breakfast and thinking after checkup we would go for shopping. We reached hospital around 11:30 in the morning. The nurse put me on the monitor and asked me if I was feeling any contractions. I wasn't, so she said I have been having 3 mins apart contractions, which I didn't feel at all. I thought it was baby moving all that time:)) Vindhya, you might be having them also then, just you don't think they are real ones. Back to my story, She asked me walk in the hospital for an hour, we did and she said lets wait until 3 in the afternoon, to check your cervix. Since from previous examination she couldn't check the cervix, it was behind baby's head. So, we rested until 3 but she still couldn't feel the cervix. So, she advised me to for pitocin. I was given pitocin and IV at 3:30 and then real contractions started. Some of them were 6 mins long...I was in pain but very calm till 5. EVeryone thought I was cool eventhough I have 0 tolerance to the pain:) Even I was surprised on how I well I behaved:) Well, My water broke at 5 and by 5:15 I asked for epidural but it was too late the anesthiologist was in some emergency C section. So, I waited until 7 and he gave me epidural. It was a bliss afterthat, I slept like a little baby. Nurse checked me again at around 10 and I was 3 cm dilated. She said by by morning 6 I will have my baby. She checked me again at around 2 and I was 8 cm. She came back again in an hour to check me and I was fully dilated and baby head was out. She and my husband said they can see lots of hair:)) She was gonna practice me for pushing but she said there was no time left and she had called the doc to come in. Doc came in at 4 and I started pushing. In five push, by 4:20 AM on the 16th nov my baby girl was born. It was a reall experience and now I am not afraid to go for again:)
She is already daddy's little angel and we have named her Ashna (friendly) and she weighed 6 lbs. and 19.5 inches tall.
She is been a very good girl and now we are all adjusted to her timing and feeding and stuff.
But, tell you one thing for sure I didn't feel any motherly instinct till she was out and then the first night she cried a lot, so we asked nurse to take her to nursery for a while. I just couldn't let her go, I felt so bad that I called her back in like 5 mins and I was crying that she was helpless without me and I shouldn't have done that to her.
So, here's my story.

16th is also Simmi's baby's b'day. So, in two days, you, Avi & Simmi have delivered your little angels.

It's really hard to distinguish false and real contractions if you don't really feel them or time them. I wish they invent a portable NST machine or something:)

Ashna is a nice name. I guess your hubby had the final say as you had liked Ashni. So, your princess is daddy's girl from the start.

Please do post your princess's pictures. I want to see her in the special dress you had bought for her.
