I am a mom of 3 and 1/2 months angel. I could see that my milk is quite watery . Is it the way the breast milk will be?? Its the same from the beginning.
Please reply I am very much upset.

hi shylaja,

i am a mom of 2 month.don't worry at all.what u are seeing is completly normal.breastmilk is always watery.it looks like skim milk.this watery milk is foremilk.once ur baby starts to suck first she will get this foremilk which watery as she feeds longer she will get creamy milk which is called hind milk its very filling.that's why breastmilk is easily digestable than formula.so what's all u are is completly normal.so don't worry and continue breast feeding.

It is interesting that your doc has recommended using cerelac. Pls be warned that babies under 4 months when fed solids, have a high incidence of allergies leading to asthma.

THanks for ur valuable advice(comments). By the way I have started giving Cerelac (after consulting the doc). So feel a bit happy.

watery breast milk

Babies need only breast milk exclusively for their first 6 months. The breast milk composition turns from watery to thick at the end of the babies feed. Typically, you can think of it as the foremilk (watery) quenching the babies thirst, then the middle milk is to satify hunger and the hind milk (thicker and rich in fat) as dessert.
Dont be alarmed by watery milk. It is still the best for your baby.

it's very normal to get such type of milk.don't worry at all. breast milk is 99% water.
