dear friends,

i delivered premature baby and baby had some problem, need to undergo surgery, now fine.

but, however, i was told my placenta did not come out, and its 4 months still continuing, have anyone come across such problem, please share

Hi Krithiga, i dont really have a detail idea about this. Rather than asking us it would be good if you can talk to your doctor and take the necessary advice to get the treatment done.

During the normal delivery after the baby id delivered the placenta comes out on its own due to contractions and it is called after birth but since you had a surgery i don't know how things happen after the surgery.

Usually the placenta and everything comes out after the baby is delivered like after 30 mins or 1 hour. What did your doctor say about it? Have you consulted your gynac after the surgery and did he tell you to get any test done?

I had once read that after delivery nothing like placenta or umbilical cord should be left inside the body. I think you should meet a doctor as soon as possible and tell him everything and see what he says about it.

you should consult good gynec in your area or you can consult a doctor who delivered your baby. if necessary they will operate you or if there are medicines to come that out they will go you. all the best and don't worry.
