My Nephew who is facing problem of Meningocele or spina bifida since birth and got operated on the 4th day of his life in Sion Hospital, Mumbai NICU Sergical ward and on 10th day of his life is operated for VPShunt and kept almost 25days in hospital for treatment. After his discharge he stay home for 10days and he started getting cold,cough fever so he once again admitted to sion hospital but in another departement were he given heavy dose of antibiotic for more than 16days and after completing all test they come to know that shut was infected so they had tranfer him to the NICU Sergical ward were his shunt was removed and new shunt was puted on left side and discharge altogehter after 45days.


Now after 1 week child got fever once again and admitted to him on the same NICU Sergical ward and treated him and discharge with in 2days. The very next day after the dicharge the got getting swelling on his eyes and vomating, so once again he is been rushed to sion hospital NICU Sergical ward, after asking them about this continiuos problem happening to child they had not given us clear answer to us, but told that since birth child got some infection remaining which not cure yet. Just because of that child is this problem again again.

Is anybody can guide us how the child who is now 4months old can be cure fully and what is the infection how the infection could be cure as we are very hepless towards the child condition.

Please provide us the assistant and any alternative treament or any same expereince which got treated fully.

The Child family is very poor.
