Last night..infact the whole day yesterday..I did not feel the baby move a lot..the movements were significantly less than normal..I called the doc and she said I should go and get myself checked out at the hospital...finally landed there late last night and took a stress test. Everything was ok with the baby thankfully. Surprisingly she mentioned that she could see that I was having BH contractions..and I couldnt feel a thing..she then checked me internally and I was 1 cm dilated...she said it could take 2 hours, 2 days or 2 more weeks...now I guess its a waiting game.

Few learnings from this experience --

1) Please route out your hospital from home. My hubby lost his way (thankfully this was not an emergency)

2) Keep your hospital bag ready

3) Get yourself pre-registered at the hospital..its saves precious minutes

4) Get your car seat installed..apparently you have to get it done by a police or Fire Dept cop the first time

5) Pay really close attention to your body..dont ignore any symptons at this stage. I realise medical personnel in the US are very professional and no one is going to yell at you for wasting their time without reason!!!
