Daycares in bangalore - Nurseries and Schools Discussion Forum

Can we have a discussion on the daycares in bangalore and their timings ? Many of you would already be leaving your child in some daycare. You may be safisfied and if not satisfied, you may want to change the daycare. So this kind of discussion would help all the working mothers in bangalore. i am right now a stay at home mom, but would like to start working soon. i do not mind shifting my house to suit a good creche. One they have a carpeted area for infants and toddlers second they have a preschool also third and most important they have online monitoring and many more. Its name is SPARROWS CARE. I am an working mom of an 14 month old boy Aarav.
I send him to Shemrock bluebells in HAL 2nd Stage , Indiranagar.
I went to atleast 10 creches, But found this one to suit me best.'
I am an working mom & my company has an excellent creche but still i chose Shemrock.
Shemrock runs a pre-nursery from 9-12 noon.Then my son continued in the daycare till 6.One of the main reasons I put him here was bcoz of pre-nursery..Kids of about 2 yrs cum here to learn & my son sits with them.Even though he is unable to speak right now...he has already recognised a couple of body part' s & blabers along with the nursery rhymes(in gibberish languiage but get' s the tune of the ryhme right :) ).

I would suggest you look at the following things for shortlisting:
1. Distance of the creche from your home
2. Timmings
3. hygine (Shemrock insists on ur kid wearing diaper thru out the day...lesser chances of infection from other kids)
4. Holidays (pre-nursery closses in April for summer vacation but creche will continue).

I am a working mom with a 2 year old son. I have an onsite daycare center but will definitely be interested in knowing abt various daycares in Bangalore. I have visited various daycares and constantly try to get feedbacks from other moms abt their respective daycares so I think I will be able to contribute to an extent. Lets start the ball rolling!!

hi Gabriella,
the contact no of shamrock is two five two seven eight thousand(I am unable to post this no in integers...sum policy of the site)...u can contact Ms Rinki Sharma there & give her my reference as my son Aarav is going there.In Shemrock pre-nursery is from 9-12 nooon & in this they try to teach the kids various fruits veggies, nursery rhymes etc...a kind of school before nursery..where the kid essentially learns to sit with other kids interact with them.

I think these are around the indiranagar area :
1. giggles
2. baby´ s day out
3. kuddle kidz
4. in bloom montessor and day care
5. one run by some person called chandrabati which is off 100 feet road

other than shemrock these are the ones i got from this forum itself. but i am not sure how good/bad these ones are. maybe mothers who already leave their children there may be able to give some feedback.

i think pre-nursery is something like a play school where they prepare the child for nursery and daycare is just a place where they take care of the child.

I will be moving in a couple of months to Bangalore. I have 2 kids of 3.6 and 2.1 year old and of course I´ m looking for playschools. I´ m looking in Indiranagar as this is the place we would like to live but cannot find any playschool doing a full day program except Neev... but they do not have seats. Can you please give me the phone number of Shamrock as I don´ t find it on the web?
