Dear Friends:
I just found out that my 9 months old baby is allergic to Milk, Egg, Wheat, Nuts, Soy and Sea food. (we done blood test and allergy skin test).
I give her Vegies and fruits (baby food in the jar)rice and oatmeal cereal. She is using Enfamil Lipil formula (milk based). Please help me with some alternatives for these allergic foods. I have to avoid these foods for myself also because of breastfeeding.She is having eczema since she was 3 months old.

My son had the same problem. PLease stop enfamil since it's milk based. Please consult your ped and give him SImilac allimentum.

Hi Geena,

My son also has the same allergies. He also has Eczema from 3 months old. Initially it was very hard for me to accept and adjust to his diet plan.

I give him Rice Milk instead of the regular milk. My doctor said that I can give him Enfamil Nutramigen, but my son does not like the taste of it and so my allergy specialist recommended this milk, which is ok with him.

My son is allergic to oats, certain veggies also. So keep a watch on the veggies that you give your daughter and if the ezcema flares up then stop giving that vegetable/fruit.

My allergy specialist told me that they will not do allergy skin test till they are 3 years old, so I did only blood test.

By the way where are you put up? Iam in Dallas,TX USA

I had a similar query a few months ago concerning eczema occuring in toddlers. As far as I know, it can be due to a varrying number of factors and common foods that end up causing the condition in 1-2 year old toddlers.
