Hi Ladies,

My daughter is 1 year 8 months now. Is it OK if I get her admitted in play school now only? Or should I wait for her to turn 2 or 2.5 years? I inquired at Euro Kids play school and they say they take kids from 1.8 years onwards. My daughter is not fully potty trained. She doesn' nt tell always when she wants to go for potty/loo. Sometimes she tell about it and sometimes she does it in her pants only. At Euro Kids they said they give potty training also. Is it really true? Are they able to manage so many kids for the same and train them? I' m really worried about this thing if they would be able to train her or not. I' ve heard about stories that kids are scolded in play schools for doing potty in their pants. As a result they get so afraid that they start stopping potty/loo for a long time. Is it true?

hello ma' m, I have gone through ur query. i am of the opinion that if there is no problem in taking care of the baby properly at home, it will be good to send the baby after he is 2.5 years young. we think that a baby will lerm mote in play school than at home. but i think this is not right. i can tell it as I have experienced it. my son swapnil is now 2 years 10 months young, and has recently started going to school. at home, he has learnt at least 3 times of the babies of his age. what matters is that whether you parents are able to give your baby enough quality and quantity time, and explore his hidden talents. I am sure ur baby must be having some or other talent such as music, dance, art etc. after finding out his talent, you may nurture it. my baby used to listen songs and sing them very well. I bought cassetts of good semi classical songs and rhymes for him. he learnt them all. now i have brought a cassette of elementary music learning for him. he now sings sa re ga ma very well, seeing which i have decided to send him for music after 2-3 months. hope u find my experience beneficial for you. hope to hear from you soon. regards, Harsha
