Hello Everyone ,

I am 26 yrsold and have been married for the last 5 years. We have not planned a baby until now and now when we want a baby our doctors told us that due to an unfortunate accident in his past my husbands genitals have stopped producing any sperms. I got my last period on april 3rd and I went through the IUI on the 20th april. I am still waiting but my cervix is way inside the uterus and doctor literally had to dig inside to get a hold of it. It was an unbearable pain. If I don' t get pregnant now, does anyone think I should go for an IVF. Is it less painful? and how mush does it cost. I live in thane , so can anyone suggest which doctor I should consult? I really want to have a baby.

Hi, You can definitely visit Dr. Rishma Pai. She has a clinic in Bandra , Mumbai. Their centre is excellent and 3rd best in India.

Hi Tanya,

IVF is a more invasive procedure that IUI - dont know about the pain part though. Typically the Dr. takes one through at elast 3-4 IUI cycles before moving on to IVF - so ask your Dr. Yes, IVF is much more expensive than IUI though I dont know what the cost range is like.You are very young now, so you still have a lot of time to go. Relax, take time off with your husband - wish you all the best, lots of baby dust to you.
