My Saachi who is 3 weeks old has developed baby acne on her cheeks(primarily due to my hormones left inside her) and forehead..her doc said to leave it alone..but hard for me to do that..anyone else facing the same situation??..it usually develops only around 3 weeks of age..
Any home remedies that u can advise????..what soap to use etc..doc has asked me not to put oil on her face..it doesnot seeme to trouble her..only me!!

hi bhavna,

i am from nov board and my baby is 6 weeks old now. i asked my doc the same thing and he suggested to just wash her face with soap and water. Which ever soap u use. I am using pears for her right now.

another thing, baby acne peaks at 6 weeks so don't take tension. Just don't rub it.

Hello Bhavana, I know its hard to c our darlings in such a situation. Don't worry, rush to any pharmacy and get 1% HYDROCORTIZONE cream. Its an anti-itching cream.

Even my baby developed this and I did some R&D on net and found out from friends about this. I should say the cream is wonderful and works in hours. Apply it in morn and u won't find it by evening. Be careful it doesn't go into eyes and mouth. Don't apply too much as it lead to dry skin. Alternatively when the rash diappears us Aveeno lotion, it keeps the skin moist.

I checked with Ped. also, she said its ok to use.

hi Bhavna, First of all Congrats on your bundle of joy !!!My son Armaan will also be 3 weeks old tomorrow ... and he has acne on his nose since his birth... it has decreased gradually since then, and I didn't do anything..
so you also Don't touch it... just ignore it... forget about using any soap on her face for atleast the next couple of months.. let her skin adjust by itself.... take care
