This is regarding sex after episiotomy. I tried after my 6 weeks Dr's visit, but was painful. I waited for 2.5 mths and gave a trial again. Though it was not paining horribly, I could feel slight discomfort. How long does it take to heal completely ? How long v hv to wait ? Will it become normal/tight like before. For my first delivery the cut was made sidewards. This time its in between vagina and anus. I am worried what if the stiched area gets opened. Pl advise.

by this time your stitches should be completely healed. It should not pose problem for your sexual life. To get vaginal path as tight prior to episiotomy may vary from cut to cut and how it healed. The discomfort will go away once you get used to it. Try to keep watch that it does not pain indeed or bleed from stitch area while intercourse. If worried give a call to your OB and get it confirmed and assured that intercourse should not be a problem.
