Hi Jyotsna,Padmaja, mekha, Sakhi,

How are all of you doing...Just to keep you'll informed..I went for a scan yesterday. My Mom-in law is here with me --so it was a once in a lifetime experience for her to see a scan being done !!

well--the doc says i'm 33 weeks+ and that my due date is 20 oct now !! ( It was 29 oct ...then 25 oct --then 22 oct ..!!) Gosh--and i thought a scan date was reliable--The miracles of techonology folks !!

ANyway,,The baby is already in a head down position with its back to the right side of my tummy ,,and buttocks and legs to the left.
Also--the baby weighs exactly 2 kgs now !!!

So far ..so good....Am eagerly waiting for the D day now......as the EDD approaches,,,,one cant help feeling and wishing that the baby comes as soon as possible....right?

How are all of you doing ..Padmaja--long time...no see....no news??? Do u still feel the nausea?

Jyotsna & sakhi...glad u found the list useful...Have u people started your shopping yet .

Mekha--Was great talking to you the other day...Only wish our timings wouldnt clash as such...

So..all of u take care and keep writing .

Hi everyone,

How are all of u doing today ?

mekha/Sakhi..If u want to buy a stroller/Pram,,better to invest in something which is durable and will last u for 2-3 years. For my previous baby , we brought a pram [a heavy duty one] and the seat of which can and is being used as a car seat !!
So check out maximum utility when u buy a stroller girls !

Also--another practical point....all the babies are not Alike...For instance.. Even at 1 year of age my baby woud'nt sit on the pram and prefer to wriggle out & walk and run instead....whereas I used to admire other ladies with babies sitting adoringly and oh so cutely all buckled up in their prams !! so frankly-- My Pram was hardly used....

Yep--and mekha --u r right--working mothers might need a breast pump...But again based on my personal experinence,I found them to be pretty painful actually. Instead I simply used my fingers to do the job !! But having it handy is an asset indeed.
Same with the the thermometer...The ones which measure the temp at the ear are the best..although expensive...they give u an accurate reading..in a jiffy !

And yes Mekha,, the babies movements are indeed less frequent now. More of the rolling and nudging kind.. But so long as u count 10 movements in a 12 hour time period.,,it should be fine.
Also girls,,,have any of u experienced /seen the hands/feet moving across ur belly yet ( as they say in the books) ????

So thats it girls !! All of u keep writing and take care

Nivea

Hi girls,
Mekha,it was nice chatting with you yesterday. The stroller for the baby came most handy when my daughter was older and we needed to go for a walk or shop. Before that,we had a pram which lasted us a whole year.A high chair came in handy from 1-1/2...
Nivea,i ahvent done any baby shopping as yet.We have a crib already which will last till 2-3 years.I have the basic clothes, her the hosp doesnt require me to bring in the baby's clothes.Shall do the shopping this weekend.
Glad to know ur u/s went off well.MY last scan showed oct 19th as due date and am in my 33rd week. But doc says, not to go by the scan dates. So i guess ill wait.I really understand when u say how eager one gets to have the baby asap.I cant wait to hold him/her and can already imagine the feeling--warm and cuddly!! as they nestle in your arms.
Sakhi--how are you doing?how long a maternity leave do u get?
Padmaja--------LONG time no hear!!!how r u???
take care all of u and write in

Subject:  Hello Nivea

We have been doing baby shopping since this week. We bought some clothes, blankets etc. We have selected baby's crib and they will deliver it next week.

Nivea, Sakhi, I was wondering too whether to buy a stroller coz as ours is thanksgiving baby and weather being cold during that time we may not take our baby out for atleast three months(except hospital visit ). One of my friend told me that we may not require an expensive stroller at all except the umbrella stroller. But i got to know from some of them that baby does fit in until 2- 3 yrs. If it is then i think its quite useful.

Sakhi, i guess Nivea's list covers everything. So i don't need to repeat the same thing here. If you are working then breastpump requires too. I am not working now but still i am going to buy one anyway. We are planning to buy Baby's swing chair/rocking chair and you may require baby's thermometer/nailcutter etc.

When i went to see my doctor at 28 weeks she told me my baby is head down position now and hand/legs to the left and back to the right. baby's movement don't seem frequent/strong enough. It seems not much space left inside. How about you girls?

Nivea, Jyotsna nice talking with you the other day. I wonder what happened to padmaja. Haven't seen her messages for a long time. Some days ago i did see her login and sent her few messages but there was no response from her side.

Take care all of you and keep posting!!!
