Hi Guys
Looks like I am an October mom ! I went into labor late Wednesday night, about 10:00pm ( I think I had really mild contractions from about 8:00 pm, but did'nt realize what it was). By the time I realized anything, I was already at 5' apart, and they just got worse. We called the hospital, and they said to stay home for another 2h. so we did... I was contracting at less than 3' by then. When we arrived at the hospital, I was 3cm dilated. The staff kept saying that it will take time, and I kept insisting that things will go faster, since that's the family history. Sure enough a couple of hours later I was at 7cm, and was already having a strong urge to push. The next hour was enough to get me to 10cm. They did give me some local pain killer right at the beginning to take the edge off the pain, but no epidural... I dilated too fast! I pushed for about 2h. I got really tired towards the end, and the could'nt force the little one out. So they had to use the vacuum.
Aditya Bharadwaaj came into this world at 5:54am, on 30th October. He was 6pounds 2 ounces, and 20\"; long.
He is doing great, and so am I.

Your labour story is like a fairy tale. How I hope mine is a quick one too. :)

Just the previous day i.e., on 29th, you were 50% effaced and dilated 2cms. That was quick. Congratulations on doing it without the epidural.

I can't wait to see your cute little boy's pictures. Take lots of rest.
