Hi girls.

I know we are impatient and want our babies out with us right now...but my hospital guys called me yesterday to ask me to arrange for an appointment for induction already! I was like, I am not late yet, why r they assuming I would need to be induced!! I am petrified of the prospect but they said they need to arrange an appointment now and then nearer the time we can see maybe they will give me 10 days over the due date. That is some relief, but still I am feeling what is rush for me to getting induced!! Hope we go in labour without having to get through induction.

Anyways, will talk with my doc on Monday regarding the dates and she can arrange an appointment for me.

No plan for the weekend, just hoping to rest and put my feet up. Planning to getting an indian take away tonight, so no cooking would be a treat!

As per my doc. long time to go my due date is 18 NOV (some time he day 15 th nov) but last time my baby came two day after due date so this time he expecting after due date let`s see

Hey Simmi, I guess they just want to be prepared..in case you might need to be induced..which is a good thing..
once we pass the 40th week, our babies will be monitored more closely through NST's and biophysicals and if any problem is detected they will immediately go for the induction...

Here, (for me atleast) they will wait 2 weeks after the due date if they dont see any problem with the baby's well being...so I am sure you will be allowed to wait for that long too....

I am sure you will not have to wait at all....it could happen anytime in the next 2 weeks....get ready mummy dearest... :)

Rain is in our forecase for the weekend, so might have to stay home...but we were planning on taking parents out..and finish packing the hospital bag..

you do keep your feet up and get that rest....make hubby give you a good massage too...

Hi Simmi,
I felt my doc is also in a hurry.In fact one day,I showed slighly high pressure,130/90,and she was talking about induction within few days.I was not even 37 weeks then.The pressure came to normal within half an hour.I can't understand why the doctors are in such a hurry.Don't worry.Everything will be fine.Take care and have a nice weekend.

HELLO SIMMI,

I ALSO SURPRISED why they people want early. yr due date is 14 th nov so long time to go..... may u hv a some problem like your baby is not gainning like that or what otherwise every doc. wait untill three days after due date. but may be yr doc. want to do planning so in last movement no problem. just now which date they give for induction?
this weekend no plan at all. just rest

Hi Hetal. Thx for ur advice. Well, I know there is some time to go still. That is why I was wondering why the doc is trying to book for induction appointment already. Anyways, will know the date etc on Monday, after my doc arranges date with hospital. Hope for the best.

What is your doc saying, r u looking to be on time?
