Name: jojo

i have a 5 and half months baby. HSe wakes up 3-4 times at night to be fed. I give her dinner at around 8 pm and put her to bed. I tried not to feed her at night, but she is very hungry. I pump and feed her breast milk. I have enough milk. WIll feeding her formula once at night make her sleep longer. Any other tips of making the baby sleep longer.

hi jojo...

u hv also presented this problem in one of my queries...

i think ur daughter must be around 6 months now.. .try to give a solid feed at night also with her milk...

after that if she gets up give her water.. she will cry for the first 1 - 2 nights.. then she will get used to it and drink and eat more during the day to make up...

but be strong and try it for atleast 4 - 5 days... once your daughter starts sleeping.. u will get atleast 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep.

I agree with Krishi. I have a 4 1/2 month old son. He also had the same problem initially. what I do is I feed him formula milk just before he goes to sleep mostly at around 10:00 pm. I give him around 4-5 ounces..... and then give him a bath and then put him to sleep. He does manage to sleep till 4-5 in the morn. At times he does get up in between when he is hungry. But most of the times it does work. Then have U started the baby with solids. May B , if U have not started for it...she is ready for the same. Do ask the Doctor abt it....Good luck...Bye for now
Love

Hi!
I have a three month old girl...what I try and do is feed her breastmilk at her 8pm feed and then formula at her 11pm. That sometimes keeps her sleeping till 4-5am. Try it...it may help you. Let me know how it goes.

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
