Health Issues:Plz help......im really worried

Name: Mala My baby is 17 months old. His birth weight was 2.4 kgs. Soon he started gaining and was normal till he was 9 months. But in recent times i have seen that his weigt gain is very low. He is approx 2 kgs behind. He weighs only 9 kg instead of 11 at this age. Even though he eats chicken/egg, milk juices regularly, i don' t find his weight gaining. Other wise he is very active and energetic. I am feeling very low due to this and this has started affecting my job also. I am really concerned, please suggest me something.

My doc doesn' t seems to be concerned with his weight. I even plan to change my paed. Pls pls help me.

Hi, please dont worry about this. Your kid is absolutely fine. During the initial days of the baby the average weight gain a day is about 30 gms. After 5 - 6 months it will be 15 gms (read it from a ped site). Dont worry at all. It will affect your baby too. Be happy and let your baby enjoy while eating. Dont force.

Do not Worry!

Hi!

Do not worry about your baby' s weight gain when hes active and energetic. Its normal that some babies stagnate with thier weight gain at some point of time during their growth. (if your child was pre mature or so)
Also, when your doc has told that hes perfectly fine, whats there to worry about !?! Continue with the foods that you have been giving him n Stop worrying :)

hi mala,
i have an 16 month old toddler she is also only 9 kgs she eats everything fruits,milk ,eggs,my ped told me she may have taken my genes coz i was v skinny as a baby ,so may b ure toddler has taken yours or your husbands genes,so dont worry so much as long as he is energetic and happy and playfull thats fine.
