Hi Girls,

Tomorrow I have doctor appointment. Last time she mentioned that she can check my cervix if I want to. She thinks it is not necessary. But after seeing Uma's message, I am confused whether to get it checked or just wait for the pains. I am finding it dificult to decide as doctor left the choice to me. I am in my 37th week now. Can you girls please suggest what I should be doing ?

This is the third time my Dr had checked my cervix,earlier two times i had pain so they had to check,but as it is after 35th week they usually check the cervix to keep a track of dilation,thats wht one of my frnd also told me.
And am sure ur Dr will check ur cervix tomorrow orelse u can mention it to her and moreover ur already in ur 37th week so wud advise u to let ur Dr do the internal examination(cervix check).

I think u should have it checked..if u have dilated/effaced the doctor can u a rough estimate of ur due date if possible, atleast u will be informed. I didn't think mine would start dilating before the 36th week it did, had he not chked i wouldn't know either.
Its ur choice if u feel comfortable go ahead ..i am as it is impatient to know more..but do what u both feel is best.

j'sri replied. hello anu how r u.well in my case doc started checking from my 36 wk itself.he said in that way he can rupture the membranes,and he also said it can help the cervix to dilate.
