daenerys replied. Hi Preethu,
I went in for my 36 week 2 day exam on Tuesday. I was 75% effaced and 2 cm dilated! THe baby was at 0 station which means he is at his lowest point - really low! However, I still \";look\"; high, no one can say looking at me that I have dropped. So I am sasuming that looks have nothing to do with dropping :-)
The OB says I can go tomorrow or take over 2 weeks, each woman is so different, especially with #1
Good luck with everything!

Arshiya replied. Hi Preethu,
I haven't been dilating but surely my doc told me that my cervix has been effaced about 25% and that was last friday. So, I am hoping for some improvements this week. Also, ppl still tell me that my tummy has been very high, and I also feel that. Though, baby's head is down and tummy should come down too as Simmi said but thats not the case on my side.
So, lets just wait and see what happens.

Avi replied. No internals here either Preetu....not until the 39th week atleast..
and my tummy hasn't come down either..
I've seen some low tummy's and mine is nowhere near there......
Vindhya replied. Hi Preethu,
I am in the same boat. I haven't felt my stomach moving down or anything. It's still in the same position as before. But, I have four more weeks to go, so expecting it would happen in another two-three weeks.
My doctor is not doing the internal exam till the end, not sure if I've effaced or dilated. Arshiya can give you more information as she is in that process.

Simmi replied. Hi Preethu. Hope you are doing well. My doc has not mentioned nothing about dilating however recall Avi & Vidhya saying more on the matter.
As for stomach going down, well, if people look at me they still think I am carrying high, but from when the pregnancy started, I feel my tummy has gone down as the pressure on the ribcage is less and breathing is better. So if you are not breathless and feel less strain on the chest area, probably your tummy has started going down a bit. Hope this helps.
From what I understand, when baby's head down and getting near stage of getting engaged, the tummy should start going down indicating the time of labour is near. How much is true, only time shall tell.
Take care.

HI Daenerys. Brilliant to read your update. Dilating already and baby's dropped too, well, by the sounds of it, whether it happens tmw or in few days, ur labour shouldn't be too long, as the process has already started.
All the very best.

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.
