Sharing good news ...my MIL got a 1 yr visa. After hearing in all forums all rejected visas were getting rejected again , lost hopes...was dreading whole night how to console her if she didn't get thru..having faith in God does solve a whole load of problems.
don't have any details yet they are still travelling back to pune from bombay. next in line is my sister, hoping she gets thru next week..if she does get...its just God's grace, we never intended to ask my sister to come so early..just asked to apply in case MIL didn't get..now if she gets thru..i will have the one person i am closest too..and will be at peace knowing MIL is not travelling alone. Praying she gets her visa too..
Thanks a lot all of u for being there during my disappointments and joy. I wish all of u the best in life.u all have been a great help.

Thanks u for ur wishes..
Redcuing duration to 1 month did help us..besides that they didn't ask much. Rush has reduced in embassies from this month.MIL is excited..evne stitched salwars for trip before it seems.. she has rarely worn in india feels embarassed, here she thot will be free to move around here..poor thing..I laughed, saying sarees are commonly worn..u needn't worry.
Manvi glad to know u r taking rest. How are u doing?
Uma hope u having fun with ur bedrest any more dreams?

Thanks uma to u and ur husband for helping me out with details..
u will never believe what worked for my MIL..
when she was asked why visa was rejected..she said that she thot min she had to enter was 6 months..but wants jsut visa for 3-4 weeks..
another thing which i found amusing was i had told her if u have an american jst to set the mood ask him how are u ...and how to answer back..he asked her "how are u" and beleive me she said exactly waht i said "fine..and how are u doing today"..i was like u actually remembered..he smiled ...hee! looks like set the mood..guess that guy missed home too.
Anyway, thanks to u..and do tell ur husband too fr helping us out with detailed message last time
