Hi All,
I wanted to share this great news...We were blessed with baby boy on Dec 5th @ 1:16pm. He weighs 8lbs 4 oz height is 21 1/2\"; long. I am so thankful to this website and Archie who assisted me through out my pregnancy. Let me share my delivery part with all the too be moms so they can have some information.
My water broke around 1:30 on sunday night then started bloody show @ 2pm which really scared me since I am first time mom so I didn't understand what was going on so I open my pregnancy book to get some information on bloody show...soon after that my contraction started every 7-8 mintues which were really severe...but I waited patiently since no point of going to hospital this early to sit and wait. So I started monitoring timings...I sat in the restroom whole night so I can give rest to my husband since he was going to be with me in delivery room. So finally around 4:30 my pains were coming closer and closer around 3-4 mint so I called my Ob/GYN she asked me if I had bacteria infection I said Yes so she told me to go to hospital immediately we arrived at hospital around 5ish.

Finally we arrived at hospital they won't let me go up without completing all the paper works...which sucks since I had already pre-register I thgt I can go straight up but anyways...we went to labor & delivery room, my contraction were every 1 mintues now and I felt nausea and started vomiting...which made it worst. Finally they put the heart beat monitor and contraction monitor to see how everything was. Nurse were really nice and helpful she called the doctor but dr. didn't come till 7:30 so I had to go through rough times for almost since 2pm, finally they asked me if I want epidural I immediately said YES since my pains were untolereable. This is a magic stick...I would say definately GO FOR IT if you cannot tolerate labor pains. I know there are lot of side effects afterwards but believe me its worth it. So soon after that I couldn't feel any more contraction...they put me on ivy, my doctor said I would deliver by noon so around noon I started pushing for almost 1 hr and 15 mintues...My husband was so helpful in pushing..he helped me throughout the delivery part..I was so happy to see him there and so concern and thgthfull at same time. Finally around 1:10pm doctor said she will try using vaccum to pull his head out. But our little boy had so much hair that even the vaccum didn't work. I started vomiting again while I was throwing up baby came out in 5 mintues...guess what my pressure worked from voming not from pushing. We were so happy to see him coming out my husband started crying looking at him. Dr allowed him to cut the cord which I was so happy.

In the end everything went well my biggest concern was delivery part but believe me nothing is so painful once you see your baby...All that pain goes away in one tier...

Hearty congratulations on arrival of your boy.
You both did take it with patience and that led happy end.
I am sad to note hospital policy. I am aware that here in NYC you won't need to wait if you were registered already. your spouse will come down to fulfill bureaucracy once you are attended by a duty Dr. and nurse. In that regards hospital you were seemed too weird.

Finall all matters is your are baby's health.
