Hello everyone
After reading many of the queries and posts I see that many of you have expressed concern on the level of transparency and an exact accounting of your embryos by the clinics you have been to. There should definately be an tallying process at the end of each IVF procedure and all eggs retrieved and the fate of each embryo followed up untill they are either discarded or frozen. A \" Dispotion of Embryo form\" which every patient should get a copy of...Why not start an Infertility watchdog group to bring these issues to the forefrot.What do you think.. I would like to discuss this topic further so plese write in your opinions and how you think your experience could have been better and what can be done on this front to help the field of IVF.

Unfortunately the real going ons in specific clinics will not be known until people come out and narrate their experiences. You as a patient can always insist that you need an exact accounting on paper of all your eggs retrieved and their fate from egg collection, fertilization, cleavage transfer and freezing. As JRG commented the ISRM is getting involved in this process which I think is the right step in that direction.

The Indian Society for Assisted Reproduction is in the process of certifying all the institutions that meet a strict criteria.

I agree that there should be a watchdog group that will look out for the organizations that are not certified and ensure that they are not able to practice.
