hi everybody,

my 10 month old baby fel down from the cot today. she fell on her face and hit her head. we have given her arnica tablets and applied ice to her forehead.

she is acting normal now. i was wondering wheterh we should get her to a doctor or look out for any danger signs.

My baby too fell from the cot when she was 9 month old.My mom said to immediately give her a bath and then breastfeed her.After that took her to doc.Doc said she is normal,but said to look for signs such as giddiness or not eating anything at all.Luckily she didn' t show any such signs .And today she is a happy 17 month old baby.For ur satisdaction take her to doc and get ur doubts cleared. Rita replied. I just thought of letting you know that if your child ever has any damage in his/her brain, don' t be too alarmed and don' t worry too much. Sometimes, some damages can be reversed with brain-friendly nutrients. For your child, when she gets older, plenty of oils of omega 3, 6 and 9 and vitamin B complex. Meanwhile, don' t worry too much.

When I was two years of age, I fell off the table. With a hit on my head, I lost speech and language for 7 seven years approximately. After that, I struggled much at school. I struggled too with learning speech, building my vocabulary. It took me a long, long time to overcome most speech impediments. Today, I can speak and sing as well. For the years I lost on normal education, I have later been teaching myself from books and internet. I also take hobbies as I believe in making self-improvements. I read a lot and keep a library at home.

If your child' s speech is delayed, don' t fret. It may be that her tongue needs to be exercised. Encourage her to flap her tongue upwards and downwards and sideways. Give her plenty of picture books and objects of varied shapes and colours as to stimulate her intellectually. Try binaural music, the type that helps stimulate brainwaves and open neurological pathways.
