hai all,
my son is 3.8 yrs old in lkg.. a v.active boy.. he started talking late- around 2.8 yrs.. the problem with him now are:
1. his speech is not clear.. only i can understand wat he is telling..
2. he never mingles with other kids.. does not talks with others.. dont amswers to teacher's ques.. when anybody pulls his pencil, he sits simply without complaining..
3. even when he wants to do his potty he never tells teacher and controls it till the school ends...
4. does not asks/talks like other kids like why u came late.. y u did not give me this etc..

iam v v worried abt his behaviour.. pls pls pls frineds help me.. is it necessary to take him to speech therapist..

Hi Lakshmi,

This could possibly be because your son is feeling shy and hesitant to talk to others as his speech is not clear.Some kids or elders may be teasing him in school or the thought that others will make his fun may be making your son go inside his shell. You may need to work on getting him out of his shell and restore his confidence.

The company where I work has collaboration with several organizations which have trained counsellers and psychologists.I will try and get some contact details for you next week. It will be good if you take professional help to get the best therapy for your son.

Dear Lakshmi
Worry does not help anything. You need to first consider the following
1. All children are not the same
2. How were your husband and you as a child........ask your folks
3. WHat is the environment at home
4. Are you working
5. Do you have a maid at home
6. Spend more time witht he child and have more outings with him
7. Remember! at times we have to be a child ourself while playing with the child
8. After all the attempts are made..speak to your Pediatrician
9.Your kids could be a shy.

Please take your baby to a neurologist. The baby could be autistic, its treatable...Don't worry
