Hi Archie,

Thank u very much for ur reply.
i think u forgot to read my msg:).

Nope Archie i don't brestfeed him from right breast. I think if u remember that i had burning sensation in right breast. so i started pumping.
I used to do two times pumping and each time i was getting 5-6 ounces. Now a days i m doing once at night and getting 10-12 ounces of milk...thats y i started once..for my convinience:) But from today i have started 2 times.Archie i can't dare to feed him from right breast becoz of burning sensation....i really scared with that.

In night whenever he wakes up i feed him from left breast.he wakes up in every 2-3 hrs. Whenever i feed him from breast he fall a sleep. he sleeps 2-3 hrs in a streach.I think he doesn't sleep well.

so i shoudn't increase the amount of cereal and veggies?
I try to feed him every 3 hrs but he takes only 2-3 ounces then he wants after an hr or 1.5 hrs.

so tell me how shoud i feed him?

Archie whenver i give him gerber food(i tried squash and applesauce)i see that he get costipated. he puts lot of pressure during bowl movement..should i stop to give him food except rice cereal?

I think it's too much now:)
thanks in advance

Sweety

Dear Sweety,
I saw your message but did not open due to time trouble.
You can find Krish constipated or passing hard stool after introducing solid. Not a trouble as long as he pass the stool and that he does not get red while movements.

Why not to change brand. Advait never liked Gerber, I fed him for a short while BeechNut and soon after that I started all at home, no more food from grocery:) You won't believe but this was a suggestion made by a guy working in store that why don't I make my own food that's without preservatives and I think I kind of liked his idea. I only take bottles if I have to travel, but to my surprise Advait as usual will remain hungry but won't touch those bottles when we are out.

I think you should not get scared. Yes, I do remember your right breast trouble. just try now for a once and see if it still burns. I think if it burns then go back to pump. Besides pumping from right and feeding on left sounds good and appropriate to your situation.

As long as Krish is putting normal weight and meeting the milestones for his age no concern on diet at all.

It's normal that kids don't sleep at a stretch in night. I was lucky and I have heard over 90% couples complain about thier littleone not sleeping in night and not allowing them to sleep either. I think even Advait will turn 17 he still somedays bother me in night, although he does not get milk, water or food after 7pm until next morning. I may sound strong but I have learned putting habits has been of great help to raise child without any family support. He has been a co-operative child and I could not thank enough for that part.

Just make sure followings: in the night before Krish is going to bed give him bottle with about 6 onces milk and try not to feed him before that for about 3 hours. Once he is full and burped I expect him to sleep for about 4-6 hours at a stretch. Remember to look after his diaper even if he is sleeping check every 3 hours.
I think the trick for Advait to make sleep night was play with him all the day so that he gets tired and because he does not get enough sleep during day he covers that in night.

Feeding full stomach and burping is very important for Krish. If he gets up in the night just try to feed him without giving any toy, or talking. I also learned having lights off help baby go back to bed quickly.

Good luck
Archie

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

hi
So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
