I am in a BIG dilema. I am in Love with this person and we have been seeing each other almost for two years. We are planning on getting married sometime soon. The problem is that my father wants an answer Y or N? He is not wanting to wait any longer. He's taken away almost all my privileages like not calling him, not seeing him, not emailing him. I told him we are working on improving the relationship thats why its taking time for our decision. In one way I am thinking of moving out because i dont want to live in house where even my own family doesnt support me and I have my own life to think about, and another way is that if I stay there, I will have to put up with my father and listen to him and be ristricted to everything. Has anyone been in this situation before? What and How did you resolve this? M replied. Your father is right. shilpz replied. I think your father may be acting overprotective because he doesn't trust your lover and wants him to get to the point. which is -- is he going to marry you or not. once the date is set then he will feel much better...he doesn't want to make you unhappy- but perhaps he can't bear the thought that someone is just fooling around with you.
Why not ask your lover when you plan to get married? if you do make sure to let your father know. then i'm sure he will be more supporting. After marraige you can make the decision of whether to live with your family or not.
