Hi All,

My daughter is 1 and a half mnths old and she is having lots of dandruff (thick layer)on her head.
I am really worried as it must be really painfull for her.
Plz do tell me what to apply : which oil and shampoo so that the dandruff gets reduced??I am in USA.

PLZ HELP

My daughter is 4 months old. For wet dandruff, I put baby powder on her head, and over a period of time, the dandruff dried up and dropped off. She lost sone hair too, but it regrew. Nycil powder also helped to prevent itching.

R u sure its dandruff or it can be cradle cap( some thing bit thick right in cente of head) I use Almomd oil to get rid of cradle cap from my sons heads, use to massage his head then leave it for 15 min let oil rest then very very gentlty use to stroke his head with my fingers( be carefull with the center as it is very soft). dont think it will sort out it day or weeks. cradle cap can take months to go but always make sure u wash your baby head whenever you bath your baby. And if it is dandruff then it will sort out with almond oil if not then speak to dr.

yes..i asked from my doctor..u were true, its cradle cap..i hope she will be fin esoon.

I will call my doctor today.I can see thick white dandruff on her head starting from the centre but reaches in front too.You may be true...it can be cradle cap????
I think i shud consult the doctor..as it is increasing day by day.
