well this has nothing to do with motherhood... this morning I was doing some yard work when our builders' fence folks can in to change some warped pickets in the fence...this fence is common to houses on either side. Well I didn't realize that 2 of our neighbours had stained their fences to different colours, and only after the pickets were brought down...about 10 of them did I realize that I was facing some angry faces (they too are Indians...but Indians are more rude to fellow Indians at times). Well 3 men, father and is two married sons came out charging...I was too meek to do or say anything but sincerely apologze...which wasn't enough for them...so now I have got to go and stain their side of the fence. I haven't yet told hubby this, but I just feel bad. Got to talk to the other neighbours and see what they are going to say....I don't want this issue to cause rift between neighbours. Just feel I have increased my workload with no other help! Already I feel so much at loss not being able to do everything...God only can help me out.

I totally know what you must be feeling like. It anyway takes so much effort to work in the yard (plus you are doing heavy duty stuff) plus the added work. You shouldnt have agreed to do their side of the fence too..its human to err na!! Talk to the other neighbours and see what they have to say ok...you should have told your FIL to go and talk to them. Well, its ok, ask hubby to politely make them understand that it was an honest error! And if they dont listen, then just divide the work between you and hubby and just do...after all the positive thing is that a lesson is learnt na...
