Hi all,
I am silent reader of this board since I was preganant.I have 9 months old daughter.her birth weight was 6lb kind of less.now she is 15.12 lb.
today we had her 9 months shot and heamoglobin test.and her heamoglobin was 10.12 which is less so our doc gave us some drops for her.my problem is that she eats only two times in a day and takes few spoons.I give her rice+dal+veggi.i breastfeed her but nowadays my milk supply is low so I am giving her formula food(nestle good start with soy)she is allergic for milk or lactose based formula.she takes 1 or 2 ounces and some time she doesn't take it.and she is very active and naughty.she crawls and also stands up with support.she doesn't eat cereal or gerber food.I am very tense.how can I make her routine??and what should i give her so she can gain weight??please help me and reply soon.
love to all kids.
Thanks in advance.

sweety replied. hi lavanya,
u can try similac isomil soy formula. krish like this better than the milk base.try to givr formula when she is hungry. actually 2-3 times in day u will have to offer formula....keeep trying.sometimes krish takes formula in sleep:)
u can try beechnut food, homemade food. homemade fruit and veggie tasts good and smells good.give her apple everyday..steamed it in cooker then grind it.
if she doesn't like cereal then u can mixed fruit in that...she would like.
when u boil apple then u can put some resin with that and grind it with appe and mix in cereal. as resin has iron and helps in constipation.
as sheeja says u can give yobaby its really very good.
give her 3 times solid.
don't worry ...everything will be fine.
bye take care,
lots of love to ur little one

I knew that some of my friends babies who doesnt like gerber foods at all. Babies are different. They have their own taste. See what they like much. Like salty foods, sugary foods and plain foods.
As your daughter is 9 months old u can start giving yobaby yogurt or homemade yogurt. Im giving yobaby for Trisha from her 8th month. She likes it very much. It has 4g fat per 4oz jar. U can try that, u can also get soo many varieties.
See whether her ped says OK for homemade or dannon yogurt, cheese etc. coz these are rich in calcium and also has good amt of fat. Trisha also doesnt take formula at all.Fully breastfed. As u said my milk is also low now. so im supplemening calcium in forms of yogurt.
today she had her 9th month well baby check up. Her ped told OK to cheese( then and there) and home-made yogurt. Im gonna try that.
u can give ghee rice also. just mix ghee and salt in rice. Most of the kids will like it. U can try ragi also. Its good in iron.
If she doesnt like gerber cereal try adding lil sugar in it(my friend do so,even she mixes sugar in formula). Orelse try cheerios, grind it and try.
Try giving almond puree mixed in rice or give it plain.see how she likes it.
when u r boiling veggie or dal u can add 2-3 almonds in it and give.remove the skin.
Dont get tensed. Definetly u can see good wt gain in her next visit.
takecare

Me too a silent reader here.
1st of all, would appreciate contributions made by Hetal, Sheeja, Arti, Priya, Sudha, all here that I get to learn a lot. A BIG THANK YOU!!!
My daughter is 7.5 months old. Has not put on weight for the past 1.5mths. She sits, crawls, has cut her 1st tooth, trying to stand with support. Otherwise active currently has only 2 meals - lunch & dinner (as usual - not more than 3-4 tsps - but loves to take from our plates - all the spicy food?) shall be starting breakfast from tomm onwards (she sleeps in mornings getsup only by 11am... yes sleeps v late at night) - breastfed baby - hates bottle - hates formula... now my milk supply is also seeming to reduce... so worried ... friends.. any suggestions?
The paed HAS ASKED ME NOT TO WORRY ABOUT Weight as she is active & playful,,, but kya karen \";ma\"; hain na.. have to worry about all these things...
PLs suggest what is going wrong.
Thanks & Regards

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
