Due Date Club July 2005:enuff milk?
2006-04-12
Name: Sheetal

Hello everyone,

I am giving Anushka her milk just twice in 24 hours, 7-8 ounces each time. Is that enuff? Let me just note her schedule until last week. Its changed now.

7 am - milk 5 ounces
9:30 am - breakfast
1:30 pm - lunch
4 pm- milk 7 ounces
7 pm - dinner
9:30 pm - milk 7 ounces

I had to extend her durations coz otherwise, she wasn't eating at all. And now, she is skipping the 7 am milk time and sleeping thru it, getting up at around 9ish, playing for some time and then getting straight to breakfast. Does this sound okay?

Regards,
Sheetal

Hi Sheetal

For 7-8 months baby 16-20 Oz milk / formula and 3-4 times solids is enough. I had confirmed this with Doc because I send my baby to the daycare.

Hope this helps.
Suchie.

Hi Sheetal,
Hope u remember me. I am Sudha from july yahoo group. Itz been a long time since I came here. I am so busy with my little one. He is very active and started crawling when he was around 7-1/2 months. Life is really good and we r enjoying every bit of it. He is trying to stand up these days.
Regarding his diet and appetite, he is with anushka's schedule. These days he refuses to drink milk at one go. He Is very playful.
His routine goes like this:
5.30 or 6am- 6 Oz milk,
9 am - Breakfast with banana
11am - Gerber fruit
1pm or 2pm- 4 or 5 Oz of milk
4pm or 5pm - Dhal rice with boiled veges
7.30 pm - 3 or 4 Oz of milk
9.30 pm - dinner
He goes to bed after that. I guess thats all I can do to include milk in his diet.
Otherwise he won't drink, I guess it is because he takes solids he is kinda full. I try giving him 2 or 3 oz of milk in between.
How r things with you. Where r u right now? I heard you have moved out. We r thinking to go to DC this weekend. I hope he sits in the carseat.. he was ok while coming he was little bit cranky, he wants to move around. He doesn't like to stay at one place when he is awake.
Anyways, take care. how was your India trip? Hope u had a great time with your parents.

Breast pumps
I am using a medela pump to feed my baby when I am out. The medela breast pumps are really a good choice for the working moms. We can pump the milk regularly and can store it and use whenever needed.... - dalewhither [View Message]
evenflo elan breast pump
Buy this pump! It’s made my life so much easier. I always got sore with my old Medela Advanced, but that never happens with the Ameda Purely Yours Breast Pump. What really makes a difference is its ease of use. It’s really easy to switch between pumping phases and take apart to clean. Strongly recommend it for all mothers that pump daily.... - stellatylor [View Message]

HI Gayathri,

I used the puzzles, the wooden blocks for alphabets and numbers.... - Sheetal [View Message]
try this
As we discussed earlier in this forum I used magnetic alphabets , through which he has learnt alphabets within a week. And number within 4 days.
It is as like take the letter and stick to it where ever he goes more and ask him to search a particular letter. this worked very well for me.
all the best... - Manju [View Message]
